Anglican Centennial Fund.

Launched two months ago, the Welington Diocesan Centennial Fund today stands at more than £48,000, according to a detailed statement issued by the Bishop of Wellington, the Rt Rev H. St Barbe Holland. Of this sum, which comprises £18,460 raised by the citizens’ committee and £29,931 raised by the Bishop and the Diocesan Centennial Committee, approximately £40,000 is to be devoted to the building of the proposed Wellington Cathedral. All of this is new money. It does not include the cathedral building funds previously in the coffers of the diocese. The £27,000 of the old cathedral fund, not included in the appeal, brings the total money available for building the cathedral to nearly £70,000.
