Ottawa, Canada.— Possibly responsible to a large extent for the popularity of Canadian poultry and Canadian cattle on the British and United States markets is the fact that so much of the lower grades of wheat is used as feed as only the higher grades of grain are exported. Wheat used as feed for livestock and poultry in Canada during the crop year which terminated on July 31 is estimated to amount to nearly 19 000,000 bushels. This compares with 15,794,000 bushels in the previous crop year.
