WOMAN’S FATE

FALL OVER CLIFF (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, September 13. The almost nude body of a woman vzas found washed up on the Patea beach today, and was identified as that of Mrs Jane Millan, Patea, who has been missing from her home since mid-day on Monday. Police found marks on the cliffs where the woman slid before a sheer 60ft drop into the sea, and the fact that she was nude except for one stocking suggest that the clothing was torn from her in the slide over the edge. Bruises on the side of the body coincide with the police theory. Mrs Millan, who was 56 years of age, is survived by her husband, Mr J. Millan, one son and one daughter.
