DAIRY PRODUCE
PRICES FOR CURRENT SEASON. MAY BE ANNOUNCED THIS WEEK. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The possibility of the guaranteed prices for the current season’s dairy exports being announced this week was mentioned by the Minister of Marketing, the Hon W. Nash, in the course of his reply to an urgent question asked in the House of Representatives yesterday by Mr H. S. S. Kyle (Opposition, Riccarton). Information was sought by Mr Kyle as to whether the Government had referred the report of the special advisory committee, appointed at the request of the dairy industry, to another committee, and whether the advisory committee would be given an opportunity to consider the latter body’s findings. He also asked whether the guaranteed prices for the season would be announced before the end of th<k> session. “The Government is examining the evidehce submitted to the advisory committee,” said Mr Nash, “and as soon as the examination is completed the Government will announce the prices to be paid for the current season. It is expected that the announcement will be made during the present week.”
