WINTER SPORTS CLUB. CHAMPIONSHIP DRAW. The following is the draw for the Winter Sports Club championship singles for 1938:— Men’s A Grade: W. Reynolds v. L. Gleeson; R. Morris v. J. Haywood; P. Thompson v. K. Brader; J. Nicholls a bye; G. Masters v. J. Curtin; M. Winslade a bye; A. Sanson a bye; T. Ihaka v. F. Bodie.
Men’s B Grade: A. Daysh v. B. Hurley; M. Wing v. V. McNab. Ladies’ xA Grade: Mrs Winslade a bye; Mrs Hurley v. Miss N. Brown; Miss R. Winter v. Miss H. Winter; Miss F. Masters v. Miss P. Masters. Ladies’ B Grade: Miss E. Beale v. Miss B. Taylor; Miss O. Quinn a.bye. The championships will be decided in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms on Saturday next, starting at 7.30 p.m. sharp. Players should be early to enable the completion of the lengthy programme. B, C, D and E grade players are reminded of the match with Kopuaranga at the Y.M.C.A. Rooms on Wednesday next at 7.30 p.m. sharp. This will be the last opportunity players will have of competition play before the championships and a full muster is expected.
