ENGINEERS’ CONFERENCE OPENED. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Delegates from most parts of New Zealand attended the annual conference of the Electric Supply Authority Engineers’ Association of New Zealand, which was opened by the Mayor, Mr T. C. A. Hislop, today. A* welcome was extended to members of the New South Wales forestry delegation, which is headed by Mr E. H. F. Swain, Commissioner of Forests for New South Wales. Some time will be spent by the conference in discussing the question of hardwood poles with the delegation.
