FIGHT WITH BRIGANDS
SIX POLICEMEN KILLED IN PALESTINE EXCITEMENT IN JERUSALEM. DAMASCUS GATE CLOSED. (Recd This Day, 11.20 a.m.) JERUSALEM, September 11. An encounter with brigands in South Palestine resulted in six policemen being killed and one wounded, while one is missing. Several brigands were wounded. Excitement near the Mosque of Omar necessitated the closing of the Damascus Gate. The military authorities control the situation.
