Exceptionally wet weather experienced in the Waikato during the last two months lAis had a detrimental effect on farmlands, and production is much lower than is usual at this time of the year. Frequent heavy rains and frosts, without an appreciable spell of warm weather, have kept the pastures in check, and placed many farmers in an embarrassing position. Farmers throughout the district would welcome a period of several weeks of warm sunshine to dry the sodden paddocks and promote the growth of pastures.
