SITTING OF COURT POLICE AND BY-LAW CASES The following police and by-law cases were dealt with by Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., in the Featherston Magistrate’s Court this morning:— Charles Haigh Bridgeford was convicted and fined £2 and 10s costs for exceeding 30 miles an hour in a restricted area. Mr Lawry dismissed a similar charge preferred against Albert Victor Burkhard. For riding a bicycle at night without a light Rodney Benton was convicted and fined 10s and 10s costs. Norris Gooding was fined £1 and 10s costs for driving a motor vehicle without carrying a warrant of fitness.
