When farewelling friends on the liner Monterey at Suva recently a girl, aged 12 years, failed to notice that the ship had left the wharf, and she was brought to Auckland. Her parents discovered her plight and cabled the girl’s fare to the Auckland office of the company, and the young traveller was met by relatives on the liner's arrival in Auckland. She will return to Suva by the Aorangi.
