VILLAGE RELICS
There is a movement in France for the creation of a museum in every village and every small town. These museums are known as "Musees du Terroir,” of local interest, curiorities or relics connected with local history, such as the most ancient document in the village, notices that have been posted up on historic occasions, etc. Some of them are already becoming well known although of recent creation. Old agricultural implements figure side by side with ancient documents, pictures and prints. One of these museums, the Musee Briard at Crecy-en-Brie, possesses a number of agricultural instruments of the eighteenth century.
