WEDDING

■GILLESPIE—WOODLEY. The marriage took place at the Knox Church on Wednesday, August 31, of Marjorie Zella, third daughter of Mr and Mrs E. Woodley, Upper Plain, and David James, elder son of Mr and Mrs J. Gillespie, also of Upper Plain. The Rev J. Davie officiated. The bride, who was escorted by her father, was attended by her sister, Miss Mary Woodley. The best man was Mr L. Darke. As the bride was leaving the church she was presented with a lucky horseshoe by her nephew, Brian Woodley. After the wedding a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents. Later Mr and Mrs Gillespie left by car for Tauranga, where the honeymoon is being spent. Their future home will be at Carterton.
