Mrs R. Wade, of Pahiatua, is a visitor to Waipukurau. Miss Thelma Major, Upper Plain, spent the weekend in Wellington. Miss Margaret De Beer has returned to Pahiatua from a visit to Dunedin. Miss Beth Robinson, Tararua, Masterton, was a visitor to Wellington at the weekend. Miss M. Wiggins, Renall Street, Masterton, has returned from a visit to Christchurch. Miss Z. Arnaboldi has taken up her duties again as infant mistress at the Pongaroa School. Miss Winifred Kitchen, of Carterton, who has been spending the school vacation in Napier, has returned. Mrs W. G. Lamb, Herbert Street, Masterton, has been spending a few days in Wellington. Mrs F. Hathaway has returned to Petone from Pahiatua, where she was the guest of Mrs F. Cosford. Mr and Mrs J. W. Palamontain, Cornwall Street, Masterton, spent the weekend at Paraparaumu Beach. Mrs L. T. Daniell and family, Akura, who have been spending the holidays at Paraparaumu, have returned to Masterton. Miss Celia Drummond, who has been spending the term holidays in Masterton, will return to Dunedin at the weekend. Miss Erickson, who has been residing during the past two years at Dunedin, is spending a few days with Mrs R. C. Drummond, Lansdowne, before leaving for America. Miss P. Wilton, of the teaching staff of the Solway Girls’ College, Masterton, who has been visiting relations in Pahiatua, has returned to Masterton.

(“Times-Age” Special.) Miss J. Sharp left today to visit Miss L Blundell, Wellington. Miss Hood, Kahutara, has recovered sufficiently from her recent serious illness to be able to return to lier home. The Mayoress (Miss Card) and Miss Eva Card left today on a visit to Wanganui, where they will be the guests of their brother, Mr H. Card. Miss Suzanne Collins, who has been playing in the Australian Women’s Golf Championships, returned this morning by the Maunganui.

MARTINBOROUGH

(“Times-Age” Special.) Mrs Beale, of Khandallah, is the guest of Mrs Brimble. Mrs Ganko, of Lower Hutt, is the guest of her sister, Mrs S. Boyd. Miss M. Jensen, of Carterton, is the guest of her brother, Mr L. Jensen. Miss Shirley Galpin, of Marton, was a visitor to Martinborough over the weekend. ■ ■ Mr and Mrs Mitchell and their son, Stuart, of Bush Gully, Hinakura, are visiting Wellington. Miss M. Warren, of Dyerville, has taken a position at Lower Hutt. Prior to her departure many of her friends entertained her at a farewell party.
