VIOLENT TYPHOON
JAPANESE CITIES AGAIN SWEPT WIDESPREAD DESTRUCTION SIXTY-TWO DEATHS REPORTED. (Recd This Day, 11.10 p.m.) TOKIO, September 5. Thirty-six hours after a warning had been given, a typhoon more violent than last week’s struck Osaka and Kobe, uprooting trees and tearing down hoardings. Shipping services are paralysed. Deaths at present total 62.
