Shade temperature: Maximum 50.7, minimum 41.1, terrestrial 33.7; sunshine, 3 hours 12 minutes; rain, 1 point. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 4 points of rain fejll at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. General situation: Pressure is very uniform and rather high over the Tasman Sea and New Zealand area, but a shallow depression is advancing across the South Tasman Sea. Forecast: Variable winds with moderate northerlies predominating tomorrow. Weather: Mainly fair to cloudy, temperatures cool, with some frosts inland.
