CHILLED BEEF
BIG FUTURE FOR DOMINION PRODUCT. “We believe there is a big future for New Zealand chilled beef in this country if the breeds were improved by the free importation of purebred stock from the United Kingdom,” was the resolution passed by the committee of the Oxford and District Master Butchers' Association (England) at a dinner recently to welcome Mr S. Timbs, of Wanganui, New Zealand. The occasion marked the concluding stage of the sale of the 10 New Zealand hoggets presented to the Oxford Association by Mr Timbs, the proceeds of which provided a trophy for the Wanganui Pastoral and Agricultural Association.
