EXHIBITION PLANS
RESULTS OF TOUR PLEASE MANAGER. SUPPORT FROM OTHER EMPIRE COUNTRIES.. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. “Judging from the reception we had, I am quite confident that the success of the exhibition is definitely assured,” said Mr C. P. Hainsworth, General Manager of the New Zealand Centennial Exhibition, when he returned by the Aorangi" today from an extensive tour. There were bright prospects, he said, of fine contributions by other Empire countries and arrangements had been completed for a visit by the band of his Majesty’s Welsh Guards. Accompanying her husband, Mrs Hainsworth did a great deal of work in arranging exhibits of interest to women.
“It was very gratifying,” said Mr Hainsworth, “to find that as soon as it was known that we were from New Zealand, we were received with open arms. It was most pleasing also to note the interest being taken in the Centennial by the commercial world generally.” . Mr Hainsworth said the Welsh Guards’ Band would consist of a director and forty-five players. The latter were most versatile and would also give' vocal items. He added that he had made contact with manufacturers of amusement devices with a view to ensuring an extensive Amusement Park.
