HOPE OF ENDING SESSION WITHIN THREE WEEKS. STATEMENT BY MR SAVAGE. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Although there is a fairly substantial amount of business yet to be dealt with by Parliament, it appears almost certain that the session will finish within the next three weeks. The Prime Minister, the Rt Hon M. J. Savage, stated in an interview on Saturday that he was anxious to have the business of the session completed as soon as possible so that the general election could be held at the earliest opportunity.
