MAN ELECTROCUTED

FATALITY IN CANTERBURY DURING STORM. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The storm that swept the province on Friday evening brought tragedy to the Motukarara district. Hector McLenaghin, a single man, aged 38, was found dead beside a fencq which had been electrified when a power wire was broken and fell on it. Mr McLenaghin left his home to visit a neighbour on Friday morning. He stayed with a neighbour all day and left for home at 8.30 p.m.. when the storm was at its height. When he did not appear next morning, one of his brothers proceeded to make enquiries, and at 10 a.m. he found the dead man lying beside a fence quite close to his home. A power line broken by the storm had fallen on a wire fence about fifty yards from where the body was found. .
