A shot fired by a Syrian when King Farouk was leaving the Sporting Club, after presenting championship swimming prizes, wounded two spectators in the leg. Another spectator forced down the arm of the Syrian and seized the pistol. King Farouk unperturbedly proceeded to the Palace.
