Mint sauce is greatly improved and will keep much longer if sweetenqji with honey instead of sugar. When .storing dry materials, such as coffee, tea, rice, and sago, in glass jars, paste the name labels on the inside of the jars. They will not then become soiled. To remove stubborn marks from your firegrate, apply half a lemon before rubbing on the blacklead. To prevent windows from becoming smeared by steam, place a cupful of salt upon the window ledge. This, will disperse the steam. A cauliflower can be cooked without breaking by scooping out a deep hole in its stalk instead of cutting across as is usually done. Scoop the hole out with a pointed knife or applecorer. To prevent moths from getting into your clothes, rub over the wardrobe with cedarwood oil. When cooking stew, place an inverted saucer in the bottom of the saucepan. This will prevent the contents from sticking to the bottom of the saucepan and becoming burned. Butter that has become hard in cold weather may be made soft by mixing a tablespoonful of fresh, warm milk into it. Use a wooden spoon to mix with.
