PROVIDENT FUND

PRESERVATION OF RIGHTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Under amendments to the Social Security Bill introduced in the House of Representatives all rights that were given to contributors to the National Provident Fund under the original National Provident Fund Act are preserved. The effect of this is that all those members who were contributors before the passing of the National Expenditure Adjustment Act, 1932, will be entitled to payment from the fund of the amount allowed under the National Provident Act without it affecting their rights under the Social Security Bill. The rights of widows of persons who joined the fund between 1926 and 1932 are also preserved.
