NORTH ISLAND GUN DOG CHAMPIONSHIPS. GATHERING AT OPAKI. The North Island Gun Dog championship meeting opened this morning at Opaki. The fixture, which is being controlled by the Gun Dog section of the Wairarapa Kennel Club, has attracted large entries from all parts of New Zealand. A start was made this morning with the land section of the Wairarapa Land and Water championship, for which there are 23 competitors. The events will be continued this afternoon and completed tomorrow.
