GUN DOG TRIALS

NORTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING. EVERYTHING READY FOR TOMORROW. Everything is now in readiness for the North Island and Wairarapa AllBreed Championship Dog Trials fo be held tomorrow and Sunday on Mr H. Nee’s property, Opaki Road. Visiting owners from the South Island have arrived with their dogs and with fine weather the success of the trials is assured. Upwards of twenty-four dogs will contest the North Island All-Breed Championship over both land and water. The Spaniel Championship is the first event of its kind ever to be held in New Zealand. The Pointer and Setter Championship will see a strong field before the judge, Mr P. W. Willson, Lower Hutt, who will judge all events on the two days. In addition the Wairarapa Club championships are to be decided, also a Puppy Land Trial which will be a very interesting event. The public are reminded that light refreshments will be obtainable on the ground.
