FAIL TO ATTEND PRACTICE
RUNNERS OMITTED FROM TEAM. SA VIDAN AND WATTERS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, September 1. The outstanding runner in Auckland this year, J. W. Savidan, has been left out of the Auckland team for the cross-country championships at New Plymouth on September 10. His club-mate, L. H. Watters, is also omitted. This action was taken by the selectors because both runners ignored requests to attend practice.
