Breach of Privilege.
The report of the Committee of Privileges, which has been deliberating on a question of privilege raised by a letter written by Mr W. J. Polson (Opposition, Stratford) to the “Auckland Star” and the “Taranaki Herald,” was tabled in the House of Representatives yesterday. After Mr Polson had expressed regret, and it had been explained by the chairman of the committee, Mr E. J. Howard (Government, Christchurch South), that the editors of the newspapers concerned had expressed regret, it was decided that no further action should be taken.
