Second grade: , Manawatu beat Waikato, 19/15; South Canterbury beat Wairoa, 19/8; Southland minor drew with Hutt Valley,' 14 all. Third grade: North Otago beat Horowhenua, 25/23; Bush beat Hokitika,’22/5; Marlborough beat Hawke’s Bay minor, 16/15; West Coast beat Buller, 15/6; North Otago beat Hokitika, 15/6.
