ENGINEERING DISPUTE
CONCILIATION PROCEEDINGS IN WELLINGTON. WEEKLY AND DAILY WAGES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Before the Conciliation Council, the engine drivers’ dispute was adjourned this morning till the afternoon for the employers to make a wages offer, following on an agreement to pay on a weekly basis for factory work, the employers to prepare a list of those classes of workers they desired to place on a daily rate, i.e., road contract and other workers likely to be subject to broken time.
