The New Zealand Boxing Council has appointed the following officials to act at the 1938 national amateur championships at Gisborne on September 15, 1G and 17:— Referees, G. Watchorn, (Palmerston North), J. Kilmartin (Invercargill), W. T. Rickard (Gisborne). Judges, Dr. Goulding Rice (Gisborne), C. Bridge (Wellington), G. Stevens (Hastings), G. H. Sloan (Auckland), W. Mouldey (Christchurch), W. Gillatey (Invercargill), H. D. Johnston (Ashburton). WIN FOR DAVIS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAMILTON, This Day. Jack Davis (Hastings) knocked out Bob Morrighan (Auckland) in the sixth round of a welter-weight professional contest here last evening.
