The threat of the Amalgamated Engineers’ Union to call a strike of all members employed in the munition factories in upport of the aircraft workers on strike was not carried out. The union decided to continue work so as not to prejudice the negotiations which have been entered into for a settlement of the strike at Fisherman’s Bend aircraft factory.
