INTOXICATED MOTORISTS
TWO ACCUSED SENT TO GAOL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 30. Two motorists were sent to prison today for being intoxicated in charge of cars —one for, three weeks and the other for 10 days. The first man was Charles Henry Drury, aged 41, electrician, who was sentenced to three weeks’ gaol with hard labour- and had his licence cancelled for two years. The other man was Albert Ralph Boulton, aged 31, a steward on board the Rangitane. His sentence was for 10 days and he was also given one month’s gaol for the unlawful conversion of a car, the magistrate directing that he be placed on board the Rangitane if she sails for Britain before the expiry of his term.
