Miss M. Sellar, Lansdowne, is staying with Mrs Dymock, Wanganui. Mrs S. Wardle is a visitor to Pongaroa, being the guest of Mrs F. Wardle, Senr. Mr and Mrs T. Johnson have returned to Levin from a visit to the Wairarapa. Mrs G. C. L. Dickel, Essex Street, Masterton, is staying at Paraparaumu Beach. Mrs F. Fleury, Kimbolton, is spending a few days with the Misses Brown, Church Street, Masterton. Mrs A. Baylis, Hawke’s Bay, is the guest of Mrs A. J. Cooper, Pownall Street, Masterton. Miss J. Cunningham, Johnsonville, is staying with Mrs F. M. Cunningham, Roberts Road, Lansdowne. Mr and Mrs Miller Hope, Macara Street, Masterton, who have been visiting Paraparaumu Beach, have returned to Masterton. Mrs N. J. Bennington of Cornwall Street, Masterton, at present is in Christchurch, as the guest of her daughter, Mrs W. A. Downes. Miss D. Nicholls, Wellington, who spent the weekend with her sister, Mrs C. C. Monro, King Edward Street, left yesterday to spend a few days with Mrs F. Percy, Maraenui, Martinborough. At a social and dance held by the Alfredton Women’s Institute, Mr R. Kebbell presented Mr and Mrs Bicknell, who are leaving the district, with a chiming clock from the residents of Alfredton. Mr D. Parsonson responded on behalf of Mr and Mrs Bicknell and family and expressed regret that they were leaving the district and wished them success. Mrs Hull presented Mrs Bicknell with a crystal bowl from the Institute members, also a dainty spray.
