DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, August 29. The New Zealand amateur billiards championships began in the Returned Soldiers’ Association rooms today. The opening ceremony was performed by the Governor-General, Lord Galway. Three games were played. A. Albertson (Christchurch) 666, including breaks of 49, 37, 36 and 30, beat A. Vidal (Dunedin) 525 (34, 303); A. Bowie (Dunedin) 666 (71, 53, 44, 33, 31) beat P. B. Barnett (Invercargill,) 377 (56, 34); S. Moses, holder of the title (Wellington) 666 (79, 60, 45, 36, 35) beat C. Proctor 565 (30, 27).
