ATTEMPT POSTPONED
LAND SPEED RECORD (Recd This Day, 11.55 a.m.) BONNEVILLE (Salt Flats) August 29. A thunderstorm has postponed the attempt on the speed record for at least 24 hours. An earlier message stated that Mr John Cobb, the British racing motorist, would make a;i attempt on the world land-speed record and that Captain Eyston would make another attempt if Cobb were successful.
