DANZIG NAZIS
INSTRUCTED TO TREAT POLES LIKE JEWS BUSINESS AND SOCIAL BOYCOTT. LEAKAGE OF INFORMATION REGARDING ARMS. (Recd This Day, 11.35 a.m.) LONDON, August 26. Reuter’s Warsaw correspondent says the Nazis in Danzig have been instructed to treat the Poles on an equal footing with the Jews. This will include a business and social boycott, the refusal of accommodation and intensification of anti-Polish propaganda. The correspondent adds that civil servants and the police have been questioned in an endeavour to find out the responsibility for a leakage of secret statistics concerning arms transport, disappearances from concentration ; camps and information from archives, which was broadcast from a secret radio station, alleging that the Danzig arsenal contains 416 light machineguns, 314 heavy machine-guns and 30,000 rifles.
