THE WORLD’S WHEAT
HEAVY YIELD THIS YEAR. WASHINGTON, August 25. The Bureau of Agricultural Economics estimated that the wheat harvest of the world for 1938 will be 4,255,000,000 bushels, an excess of 495,000,000 bushels over 1937. The bureau has issued a warning that only a reduction of acreage or an improvement in economic conditions would improve the 1938-40 wheat prices.
