Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:— Barograph, 30.64. Shade temperature: Maximum 50.1, minimum 43.3, terrestrial 36.5. Sunshine, nil. Rain, 1 point. General situation: The anti-cyclone which has been slowly crossing the Dominion is now centred near the Chatham Island and is still very intense; a rather shallow cyclonic depression is located north.-west of Cape Maria Van Diemen and pressure is Low over Eastern Australia. Forecast: Winds, east to northeast, moderate to fresh mostly but strong ire exposed positions. Weather: Dull ano' misty, with rain in the eastern areas and gradually becoming more widespread; temperatures moderate.
