MARTINBOROUGH
SCHOOL ASSOCIATION. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly euchre tournament and dance was held in the school last evening. There was a moderate attendance. During the evening exhibition tap dances were given by Miss Marjorie Ramsden, and hakas by local Maori boys, every item receiving a hearty round of applause. Music was supplied by Mr Te Tau while extras were played by Misses Nola Prussing and Joyce Grant. Mr Beveridge was M.C. The euchre tournament winners were:—- Ladies: Mrs Grimstone, 1; Mrs Kaio, 2. Men: Mr S. Davidson, 1; Mr C. Gair, 2. PERSONAL. Mrs Harry Martin, of Otaraia, is visiting her mother, Mrs Mcßae, of Wairoa. The funeral of the late Mr Alex Taylor took place yesterday afternoon. A service was held in the Presbyterian Church. The pall-bearers were Messrs W. and Don Taylor, Doug. Lamb, L. A. Campbell, W. J. Sharp, and Ivan McLeod.
