PEACE PROPOSAL
MR I.ANSBURY URGES CONFERENCE ON VAN ZEELAND REPORT. CONSIDERATION PROMISED BY KING CAROL. (Recd This Day, 12.30 p.m.) BUCHAREST, August 25. King Carol promised to consider a proposal by Mr George Lansbury, M.P., that he should co-operate with the King of the Belgians and invite the Powers to a conference in an endeavour to solve the economic problems outlined in the Van Zeeland report.
