ILL=HEALTH NO EXCUSE
FOR INTOXICATION IN CHARGE OF CAR. MAGISTRATE'S REMINDER. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. 111-health is no excuse for being intoxicated in chargb of a motor-car. this point was made clear in the Magistrate’s Court this morning by Mr Reid, S.M. “It has been said before in both the Magistrate’s and Supreme Courts that it is a double reason why alcohol should not be taken,” Mr Reid observed. Ernest Launcelot Henry Brown, retired, aged GO, pleaded guilty and was fined £2O, his licence being cancelled until September, 1939. The police said Brown collided with a stationary fish van.
