IMPROVEMENT IN HEALTH MAINTAINED. RETURNING TO WELLINGTON ON MONDAY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 25. Still rapidly improving in health after being indisposed last weekend, the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, "will probably see the principal race at the Auckland Trotting Club’s meeting at Alexandra Park on Saturday if the weather is fine. It has been definitely decided that the Prime Minister and his party will leave for Wellington by the afternoon express on Monday. Although the fact that he had spent two afternoons out of bed this week caused no ill-effects, Mr Savage’s doctor considered it advisable for him to take a complete rest today. He was allowed, however, to receive occasional visitors, among them being Archbishop O’Shea, Roman Catholic Archbishop of Wellington and Metropolitan of New Zealand, and Bishop Liston, Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland. In accordance with the practice that he has followed during the week, the Mayor of Auckland, Sir Ernest Davis, spent a few minutes with Mr Savage today. There were many other callers to inquire after the Prime Minister’s health.
