General situation: A very intense anti-cyclone covers New Zealand, the highest pressure being off the East Coast; the cyclone off the New South Wales coast appears to have lost energy but conditions are still disturbed over the North Tasman Sea. Forecast: Light to moderate but freshening south-easterly to easterly winds. Weather cloudy to overcast, with occasional light rain, mainly east of the ranges. Temperatures milder.
