FERRIER IN FINAL
AUSTRALIAN AMATEUR GOLF TOURNEY. OTHER SEMI-FINAL WON BY H. PAYNE. ADELAIDE, August 24. J. Ferrier today entered the final of the Australian amateur golf championship beating the South Australian W. S. Rymill, 6 and 4. Ferrier played machine-like golf. The other amateur semi-final was won by H. Payne, who beat J. Barkel, 4 and 2. A surprise in the professional semifinals was the defeat of H. Von Nida by C. Booth, 1 up. E. Cremin beat G. Naismith, 5 and 3.
