♦—' BENEFIT PERFORMANCE LAST EVENING. A fine performance of “The Cingalee” was given by the Masterton Amateurs in the Opera House last night. Mr W. McMichael ..created a most favourable impression in the role of Harry Vereker. The attendance of the public was rather small. After the fall of the' qurtain, Mr H. P. Hugo, chairman of the Trust Lands Trust, thanked the Amateurs for putting on the performance in aid of the Opera House refurnishing fund.
