Warner Baxter’s next big picture will be “Falling Star,” which will show the decline of a Hollywood favourite. Oddly enough Baxter was once a fallen star. He was selling automobiles in Hollywood after having been a topflight star and it looked as if he was finished in pictures. Then suddenly he was chosen for the leading role in “In Old Arizona,” and he was back on top again and has never looked back since. “Balalaika.” A cast of 120, 42 speaking parts, a real Balalaika band, and a full Russian ballet, are but a few of the features of “Balalaika.” the stupendous Williamson spectacle which opens in Wellington on September 6.
