TIBBETT TEACHES A LESSON IN POLITENESS. A lesson to Christchurch in politeness is an unexpected secondary result of the visit here of Lawrence Tibbett, says a writer in the “Press.” When an artist reaches the eminence of Mr Tibbett, he has an excellent excuse for the display of what some of the more forgiving of the public call by the muchmaligned term “artistic temperament" and the rest of us call just “rudeness.” But with all his artistry, this singer is not only never rude, but, instead, is always courteous.
