LIFE-SAVING CUP

WON BY WAIRARAPA COLLEGE • GIRLS. Wairarapa College has been awarded the William Henry Memorial Cup for Life-Saving. The trophy is for competition among girls’ schools with roll numbers of over 200. In notifying the award to the Principal of Wairarapa College (Mr G. G. Hancox), the hon. secretary of the Wellington branch of the Royal LifeSaving Society (Mr J. L. Dighton) conveys to the college the congratulations of the executive of the branch on the excellent work being done in swimming and life-saving. An opportunity is to kje taken to present the William Henry Memorial Cup to the college. Credit for the success of the college girls is given by Mr Hancox to Miss Mary Pither, who trained the girls in their life-saving work.
