OUTSTANDING FRIESIANS
WAIRARAPA SALES. Of interest -to Friesian breeders will be the recent acquisition by Mr W. Gray, Teddington, Canterbury, of two outstanding females from Mr M. J. Parker, a well-known Dalefield studmaster. Koromiko Carnation, an attractive two-year-old, was bred by Mr Parker, and is by Koromiko Mutual De Koi Pontiac, whose dam, Woodlea Transvaal Pontiac, produced 8001 b. fat as a four-year-old. Her dam; Koromiko Queen Fremyla, is a half-sister to Woodlea Mercedes Viola, who has to her credit 7421 b. fat as a four-year-old. Ahikouka Mutual Sylvia, Mr Gray’s other purchase, was bred by Mr A. O. Cadwallader, Greytown, and is a five-year-old by Ahikouka King Sylvia, whose dam is a full-sister to Bainfield Topsy 10th (863.891 b. fat at four years). Her dam, Bloomfield Mutual Jerrica,. is a daughter of Pearl Mutual Ormsby, whose dam set up.a record of 903.441 b. fat at seven years. The sale was effected through the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., as was Mr Gray”s recent purchase of two heifers from Mr H. D. Brewster, Feiiding.
