WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION MEETING. ■ LOSS ON INDIAN MATCK A meeting of the management committee of the Wairarapa Hockey Association was held in Greytown last evening, the president, Mr G. Hayne, presiding. The president asked the meeting to stand in silence as a mark of respect to the late Mrs H. Moor, and a motion of sympathy was passed to the relatives. # The balance sheet covering the Indian match showed a loss of £6O. The New Zealand Association wrote stating that it could not assist the Association until the tour had been completed. The Wairarapa Rugby Union stated that it could not reduce the charges for the Memorial Park, and that it would be pleased to receive its remittance. This was passed for payment. It was decided to make a payment of 10s in the £ to all guarantors. If in the meantime the. Association received further assistance from the parent body, a further payment would be made. The Wellington Association is to be invited to send senior and junior representative teams to play Wairarapa on September 3, the matches tq be played in Masterton. If this is not suitable to the Wellington Association the annual North v South match will be played on that day. A Carterton player was reported for alleged misconduct on the field. The matter was fully discussed but no action was taken. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to Mr and Mrs Maloney. The next meeting will be held in Masterton on September 19.
