KEEPING GAMING HOUSE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N„ This Day. Stated by Detective-Sergeant Meiklejohn to be a member of the Bookmakers’ Association, John Vickerstaff pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court to a charge of using a billiard saloon as a common gaming house, the case being the outcome of a raid during Grand National week. Vickerstaff was fined £5O.
